Characters Hub

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a character prequel. It does not follow Amicia and Hugo de Rune. It follows Sophia, the Greek plunderer who later sails into Requiem, and it cuts to Theseus in the Minoan past. This hub is the cast index. Deep dives sit on Sophia, Leni, Theseus, and companions. Story routing stays on the walkthrough. Review context stays on the review roundup.

You do not need the earlier games to know these people. If you have played Requiem, you already know Sophia can fight, that she is Greek, and that she escaped a convent looking for her father. Resonance fills the years in between.

Who you control

Sophia is the 1334 lead. Anna Demetriou performs her. Child Sophia is experimented on in a convent, rescued into a smuggler family, then grown into a dual-wielding plunderer nicknamed Sea Scorpion in later lore. She is not a stealth child. She is the reason the series suddenly has parries. Read Sophia for biography, kit, and how she connects to the Macula without ending spoilers.

Theseus is the Minoan-era playable echo. Dual timeline is not a photo mode. Events in the past bend the present. When the game hands you his tools, treat them as combat verbs, not as a separate campaign. The combat guide covers how those verbs sit on the same pad as Sophia’s kick.

Who walks beside her

Leni is the partner on the island, more-than-friend in several reviews’ wording, and the person you actually talk to between puzzles. Faro is Alec’s ally and later captain, a combat tutorial before he becomes a story problem. He is not Sophia’s father. Alec is named in the Heritage Pack pendant; he is family weight, not a party member you command. Ezra and Valerio handle early tutorials. Daedalus is the myth engineer whose light machines you solve. Details and relationship warnings live on companions.

There is no multiplayer drop-in. You cannot invite a friend to play Leni. The campaign is single-player.

Who you should not expect

Amicia, Hugo, Lucas, and the Inquisition army are not the weekly cast. The Macula is the connective tissue, not a rat swarm you aim. If you bought Resonance to babysit Hugo, you bought the wrong year. If you bought it to learn why Sophia is the person Requiem needed, you are in the right hub.

How to read these pages

Play first if you hate spoilers. The character pages describe origins, roles, and mid-game shifts with care, but Night Has Come and Patera are hard to discuss at zero risk. For mechanical help, ignore lore and stay in guides. For gear, stay in tier list. For who ships the game, stay on official links.

Olivier Derivière’s score uses Cypriot Greek voices. “Patera” means father. That is the emotional index of the cast: missing parents, borrowed myths, and a plunderer who has to stop being someone else’s key.
